On November 2, 2025, Saratoga Living captured the spirit of the 10th Annual Veterans’ Ball, hosted by the Veterans and Community Housing Coalition at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs.
Despite a Sunday evening and the seasonal time change, roughly 350 attendees gathered in formal attire to support VCHC’s mission of providing housing and support for homeless military veterans and their families.
The evening began with a red-carpet entrance, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a warm welcome from Executive Director Diane Nazzaro, Executive Board Liason, Cheryl Hage-Perez, and Honorary Chair Ray O’Conor. Guests enjoyed dinner by Mazzone Hospitality and an atmosphere filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and community spirit.
A highlight of the night was the recognition of five local veterans, Phillip Oswald, Ronald Patterson, Thomas Rielly, Randy Rose, and Joann Swapp, each honored with a handcrafted quilt in appreciation of their service. Honorary Chair Ray O’Conor also paid a moving tribute to World War II veterans, spotlighting 103-year-old Private First-Class Rael Dupuis as the crowd stood in admiration.
