Every veteran deserves stability and a place to call home. VCHCs housing programs offer both temporary and permanent solutions to elevate at-risk, low-income, and homeless veterans and families.

For over 40 years, VCHC has provided veterans with an array of transitional housing programs. These programs are stepping stones to permanent supportive housing and independent living. Our residential houses offer housing in a supportive, therapeutic community, with wraparound care including mental health and physical wellness, career counseling, and case management services to help veterans address the challenges of transition from military life into the civilian community.

The Guardian House, situated in Ballston Spa, New York, is the sole supportive housing program for homeless veterans supported by the VA in NYS, 1 of 7 in the entire country.

It is important to note that homeless female veterans encounter the same challenges as their male counterparts. Additionally, a significant percentage of female veterans are survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The dedicated case managers at Guardian House provide extensive support to these veterans, helping them navigate and overcome the challenges they face.

Through this support, veterans at Guardian House are able to successfully transition into independent and productive lives within our community.

The Foreverly House is dedicated to providing a safe and sustainable home for homeless females, including mothers with children.

It acknowledges that mothers often face the heartbreaking reality of being separated from their children in order to access programs aimed at supporting their service to our country. The programs offered at Foreverly House are specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of these veteran mothers and their children who are currently experiencing homelessness.
