On March 3, 2026, the Veterans & Community Housing Coalition was featured in CDPHP’s announcement of the 2026 CDPHP Foundation grant recipients.
The Veterans & Community Housing Coalition was one of three organizations selected to receive funding focused on expanding access to vital health and support services. VCHC will use the grant to establish an offsite food pantry that will provide Veterans with greater access to fresh, healthy food. The expanded space will include additional shelving, refrigeration, and freezer capacity to help ensure a consistent supply of food.
The pantry will also provide a meaningful volunteer opportunity for Veterans living with mental illness, allowing them to participate in activities such as inventory management and food distribution. VCHC currently supports Veterans across seven counties throughout the Capital Region and beyond.
