For Veterans

Permanent Housing Programs

In addition to the many issues facing our Veterans today, the lack of affordable housing is a major cause of homelessness for Veterans. Over the years, VCHC has developed several permanent housing programs for Veterans and Veterans with families.

These programs provide a permanent housing option for Veterans who were formerly homeless or at risk to become homeless.

Support Services are provided to help these veterans maintain their housing and live a productive life in the community.

While it is permanent housing, Veterans are encouraged, with staff support to develop a plan to eventually transition to independent living.

These plans include, develop financial stability, achieving a positive health status, family reunification, and of course overcoming the reasons that led to a homeless situation in the first place.

After reuniting the family, support services are provided to ensure the veteran maintains their housing and receives all the services needed to maintain a productive life.
